Yverdon-les-Bains
Tennis coach in Yverdon-les-Bains
Yverdon sits at the flat end of Lake Neuchâtel, beside the Grande Cariçaie marshland, and it is the one place on our list where the ground genuinely does not go up. For running that is a real advantage: long, even efforts at a steady pace are hard to do anywhere else in French-speaking Switzerland without a treadmill.
The town is best known for its thermal baths, and the swimming facilities are correspondingly good. It is quieter than the lakeside cities, so there are fewer coaches available — but weekend slots are far easier to get here than in Lausanne, and the trade is often worth it.
What a session includes
Your coach brings balls and any training equipment. Court booking is arranged as part of the session where a court fee applies. If you are a member somewhere and would rather play there, tell us when you book and we will match you with a coach who can meet you at your club.
Who books private lessons
Three groups, mostly. Club players wanting to fix something specific — usually a second serve, or a backhand that breaks down under pressure. Adults returning after years away, who want to enjoy an hour without being put through a junior drill. And parents booking for a teenager who has outgrown group coaching but is not ready for a full competitive programme.

Common questions
How do I know who my coach will be?
We select a coach after you book, based on what you want to work on, where you are and when you are playing. You will get their name and your meeting point by email once they have confirmed, usually within a day.
What if the weather is bad?
Your coach will contact you if conditions make the session unsafe or pointless, and we will move it to another date at no cost. Light rain on clay is usually fine; a storm is not.
Do I need my own racket?
Bring your own if you have one — you will get more from a session with a racket you are used to. If you are starting out or visiting, say so when you book and your coach will bring one.
Can I book for my child?
Yes. Book in your own name and tell us the age and level in the notes, and we will arrange a coach who works with that age group. A parent or guardian needs to be present for under-16s.
