Lausanne

Football coach in Lausanne

Lausanne is a city built on a slope, and that shapes coaching here more than anything else. Sessions run from the lakeside at Ouchy and the sports grounds at Vidy up through Montchoisi to Chalet-à-Gobet at around 870 metres — which in practice means two seasons rather than one. Down by the water the season stretches from spring well into autumn; up above the city, conditions and facilities carry you through the months when the lakeside is unusable.

The city also has an unusually international population for its size, between the university, the EPFL and the sporting bodies headquartered here. Most of our coaches in Lausanne work in French and English, and a good number in German — tell us in the notes which you prefer and we will take it into account when we arrange your session.

What an hour actually fixes

Group training rarely has time for one player. A private hour does: weak foot, first touch under pressure, striking technique, or goalkeeping, which club sessions almost never cover properly. Most bookings here are players aged ten to eighteen whose coach has told them what to work on and who now need someone to work on it with.

Where it happens

On a pitch or a training ground, with the booking arranged as part of the session where a fee applies. If your club lets you use their facilities, say so and we will match you with a coach who can meet you there.

Common questions

Is this for children or adults?

Both, though most bookings are young players. Adults returning to the game or playing amateur league are a normal booking too.

Can two of us train together?

Yes, and for finishing or passing work it is often better. Choose the two-person session.

Do you coach goalkeepers?

Yes, and it is one of the most requested things here — precisely because club training so rarely provides it. Say so when you book.
